I made this pooja mandap with materials got here in US. Brought all raw materials in Homedepot..Soon will post the decorated pooja mandap with god's pictures.
Thanks Gayathri for the beautiful pictures.Very creative indeed! My humble request is to please provide step by step instructions ( materials/measurement) etc, it would be very helpful to everyone. Thanks, Have a nice day. Lakshmi.S
One of our blogger http://www.amuthiskitchen.com/2011/08/homemade-pooja-mandap.html had given idea for smaller pooja mandap..I used the same technique but i made it in bigger size of 42"X72" to hang all the god's pictures. Since it is 72" tall i did'nt used pillars..This mandap was made as 3 separate pieces..The base piece, gopuram piece and background piece...In homedepot moulding & millwork section u can get mouldings in differnt designs. For kalasam i used wooden beads brought in joann. The small bead was attached on the top of the bigger one using wood glue..Used Minwax wood stain and minwax polyurethane finish to protect the wood..Wood glue was used to fix all the wood pieces..
Hi There I liked ur mandap for gopuram partdid u cut or in shop and did u stick another piece as base part on it and are all these available in home depot
I cut the moulding in homedepot itself. i stick the bigger moulding piece with another base piece then stick the whole unit in the ceiling piece...The top kalasam got two pieces i brought them in joann..
It is very beautiful. Instructions would be very helpful.
